1. About this policy
This Cookie Policy explains how Oxelvanta uses cookies and similar browser technologies on oxelvanta.com. Read it with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal data more broadly.
The current Site does not load advertising pixels or third-party analytics. Its only named browser-storage item remembers your privacy choice. Search, genre and platform filtering happen in the page and are not saved after you close or refresh it.
2. Cookies and similar technology
A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to store. It can be read during a visit or later, depending on its duration. “Session” cookies usually end when the browser session ends; “persistent” cookies remain until their expiry or deletion.
Local storage is a related browser feature that stores a small value for a website without attaching it to every web request. Oxelvanta uses local storage for the preference described below. We refer to cookies and similar technology together as “browser storage” where appropriate.
Categories we use in our controls
- Necessary: supports a choice or feature you request and is not used for advertising.
- Analytics: would help measure use and performance. No analytics provider is currently deployed.
- Advertising: used to build or target marketing profiles. Oxelvanta does not use advertising storage.
3. Browser storage currently used
| Name | Type & provider | Purpose | Duration / category |
|---|---|---|---|
oxelvanta_cookie_consent | First-party local storage · Oxelvanta | Records whether you selected “Necessary only” or “Accept all”, plus the saved date and notice version, so the banner does not reappear on every page. | Until you clear site data or make a new choice · Necessary |
The Site's code currently performs the same limited operation after either selection because no optional analytics is deployed. “Accept all” records permission only; it does not itself create an analytics profile or place advertising cookies. If we introduce non-essential technology, we will update this table and activate it only under a valid choice.
Our web host may also use short-lived technical mechanisms at the network edge for load balancing, abuse prevention or security. If any such mechanism is strictly necessary to serve or protect the Site, it is not used by Oxelvanta for advertising. Hosting access logs are addressed in the Privacy Policy.
4. Your choices
When the notice appears, you can choose:
- Necessary only: no permission for non-essential analytics; only your choice is stored.
- Accept all: permission for the optional categories described in the notice. There is currently no analytics or advertising tool to activate.
You can reopen the notice using “Cookie settings” in the footer. Selecting a button replaces the previous local-storage value. You can also delete the value through your browser settings; the notice will then appear again.
Withdrawing permission is as easy as giving it and does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing based on consent.
5. Third-party sites and game links
Game cards and buttons can open publisher or platform websites in a new tab. A plain link does not let those sites set cookies on Oxelvanta, and we do not embed their video players or social widgets on this version of the Site. Once you follow a link, the destination can use cookies under its own policies and controls.
Promotional game artwork is stored locally on Oxelvanta's server, so displaying a catalogue card does not require your browser to request the image from the game store's content-delivery network.
6. Browser and device controls
Most browsers let you view, block and delete cookies and site data. The exact menu depends on your browser and device. Blocking all storage may cause the privacy notice to reappear because the Site cannot remember your selection.
You can typically remove this Site's record by opening your browser's privacy or site-data settings, searching for “oxelvanta.com”, and deleting its stored data. Private-browsing modes often remove local storage when the private session ends.
Browser-level “Do Not Track” signals are not consistently defined. Because the current Site does not load third-party advertising or analytics, there is no behavioural tracking process to alter in response to such a signal.
7. Changes to this policy
We will revise this policy and the table above before intentionally deploying a new cookie or similar technology. Where consent is required, the technology will remain off until you make a valid choice. A material change may cause the notice to appear again so you can review it.
